Overview

Fōn-mbuz Hadfow was founded durring the early 12th century in winter of the year 1102, by Tsilë. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Tsilë.

Fōn-mbuz Hadfow was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fōn-mbuz Hadfow is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Fōn-mbuz Hadfow is buildings are arranged arround a network of spacious cobblestone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city posesses a fortified albit thin wall of querried stone. This wall posesses most of the features of a castle wall, though it is constructed from cheeper inferior stone. It would pose a minor chalange for an attacking army, though it's clear the wall's true purpose is to crush the hopes of bandits and marauders. The city's failry decent fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously well maintained. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with routine mantance of the city's defences.

Fōn-mbuz Hadfow is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the city like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife. There’s a patern to the panic. It’s not easy to see, and no one quite agrees on what it is, but the locals know and operate under this pattern. It shapes everything they do, and you feel as if you’ve almost worked it out only for some small detail to devastate your theory every time you try and comprehend it.

The locals often repair the road by putting down wooden decking.

POI

History

Fōn-mbuz Hadfow used to be more prosperous, but something happened relatively long ago that left it a shrunken shadow of its former self. If the settlement is prosperous, the locals often lament how much more they could have had. If the settlement is not prosperous, the locals blame their ill fortunes on that event. Reminders of this better time can be found in many places within Fōn-mbuz Hadfow.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Fōn-mbuz Hadfow was attacked by savage tribes living nearby Fōn-mbuz Hadfow. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Fōn-mbuz Hadfow lost 206 people, 151 livestock, and 88 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 69, when members of Fōn-mbuz Hadfow's militia enacted an operation to deliver a message to a influential figure, then secure them. The operation was complicated by a trusted officer who turned traitor and defects. The conflict ended with the defense of the mine against a siege, which ended in defeat for Fōn-mbuz Hadfow's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Fōn-mbuz Hadfow's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
